Welcome to my Internet social hub. This exists because, with the exception of LinkedIn, I'm a social media hermit but I still want people to have a means to find me and reach out. I also use this site as a reference point for some of my professional and personal projects that I like to share with family, friends and, occasionally, total strangers. Please feel free to email me or message me through LinkedIn using the links below. Thanks!

About Me

I am a Security Operations Manager who works for Arctic Wolf in Eden Prairie, MN. When I'm not working, I'm either creating my own web projects, gaming, drinking tasting wine, playing bass guitar, doing home projects, or exploring Minnesota.

Skills

I have 25+ years experience in a wide array of IT related technologies including cyber security, network engineering, network security, software development, server management, cloud platforms, and data center infrastructure. I am adept at coding in HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript, as well as working with MySQL and MongoDB databases. In recent years I have developed primarily in Ubuntu environments within AWS utilizing GitHub and Docker. I have built and managed multiple websites using WordPress, vBulletin, PHPBB, MyBB, and have written custom CMS and BB software from the ground up.

COLONIZETHEVERSE.COM
After reading 'We Are Legion. We Are Bob', I got the idea to build a web-based game loosely based on the book. The current site is a placeholder for the game which will hopefully be completed by the end of the year.
CURIOUSANDUNEXPLAINED.COM
My brother, Dane, threw together a little site for my mom to share her ghost stories. I liked the idea and built upon it. I've always wanted to do more paranormal investigations as the subject matter greatly interests me but just haven't had the time. One day, and I'll use this site to document when that day comes.
GLORKFOO.COM
I often have the need to post up single web pages for projects, contests or whatnot and most of the time it is for people who I am not looking to share my personal domains. So, I registered glorkfoo.com. It's just my generic site for posting whatever.
HOUSEOFWINOS.COM
We have a "Wine Club" of friends that come together about once a month to do wine tastings and get trashed. Working on this site as a way to track our tastings. This is very much a work in progress but I'll get it finished soon-ish.
VICTORIOUS-SECRET.COM
Gaming guild site for World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV. It doesn't get a lot of use nowadays but it's still there. All written from the ground up using PHP, HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript.
WARWICKANOMALY.COM
Warwick Anomaly is a tabletop RPG that I've been working on for quite some time. It's on-hold at the moment because I just haven't had the time that I need to invest into it.

Volunteering

Colin's Hope
I worked with Jeff Holst and Jennifer Brown over at Colin's Hope in November 2019 to help them put the finishing touches on their web based evaluation tool. Work was mostly around WordPress and Gravity Forms with some custom PHP needed.
San Antonio Pets Alive
From 2013 to 2022, I hosted their website within my AWS environment and spent most of my yearly VTO through Rackspace by helping them with new features.
